Leaning tower of crabs and aggressive Flash

Today the crabs decided they would see how many of them could stand on top of each other before they collapsed in a pile. The answer you ask... why FOUR! Although the last crab kinda cheated by hanging on to the mesh roof with one leg :-D

I've got some great photos, I'll try and get them edited and uploaded tomorrow, now we know for sure how 'Little White Guy' gets on the top!

Also today Flash turned aggressive, first he was eating in the food bowl. Dougal came up to the food bowl to grab a bite, Flash wasn't too keen on that idea and bashed him out the way. So far nothing too unusual, just a little food dish pushing; or so we thought. Dougal turned and started shuffling away, Flash hadn't had enough though and chased after Dougal; knocked him over and started putting his claws in to Dougal shell.

Once we realised what was going on we tried to get Flash away from Dougal, by this time however he had held of Dougal's leg with his big claw. I grabbed the spray bottle of water we keep handy for these kind of emergencies and franticaly sprayed Flash to try and get him to let go. It took us several minutes of spraying until Flash let go enough for us to grab him and take him away from Dougal.

Now we suspect that Dougal has recently come up from a molt, so we thought maybe that was why he was attacking Dougal. I put flash on the other side of the tank, not 10 seconds later he was attacking Lacky in the same fashion. We grabbed Flash this time before he had managed to get ahold of Lacky too hard and put him into a critter keeper with some shells, water, food and shelter. Our current theory is that he is very uncomfortable in his current shell right now and is desperate for another; why he wants to take this from another crab rather than using an empty one we don't know, but the theory somewhat holds up as the other crabs he attacked we wearing the same size shells (approx.) that he is.

Hopefully he will decide to change shell and then we can put him back in with everyone else. For now he is in isolation while we monitor his behaviour. The strange this is he has become agressive even to us, not afraid of us and trying to pinch us when we go near him. I'm a little concerned about this one. I'll provide updates on his condition over the next few days.
