Zoo Med Eco Earth
While as a rule I really like coconut fiber substrate
for at least part of the tank (I prefer food and water dishes
be on another substrate for ease of cleaning), I have had terrible
luck with Eco Earth brand. It seems that every time I try this
brand (and I have multiple times) I get a "dud" that
doesn't expand and soften well in water. I'm told that other people
have better luck with it than I do, and it is cheaper (in the
three pack) than most other brands. However, due to my own multiple
bad experiences and the simple fact that this is the only brand
I've ever had problems with, I won't buy it again unless there
is no other choice.
